Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water review

The first product that I am going to review is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

I highly recommend this product if you like Bioderma Sensibio H2O! Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is very similiar in terms of look and feel.  Both products do not contain fragrance and is very suitable for people with sensitive skin, like me!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and have been using it since. I love it! I have really sensitive skin and many cleansers and make up removers tend to sting, particularly around the areas of my eyes.
A super efficient and gentle way to cleanse, remove makeup, soothe the feel of skin and hydrate in just one step – it’s not magic, it’s Garnier Micellar!
The above statement I cannot agree more :) lip and face make up comes off easily, no smelly fragrance and most importantly... it did not sting my skin. It actually felt very refreshing.  However, just like Bioderma, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water does not remove waterproof make up off very well.  I wouldn't recommend doing so anyway as the skin around  the eye area is very delicate - it's not worth the unnecessary rubbing.  I would use an oil based eye make up remover instead.

Although the product states "no rinsing required" I still continued my normal facial cleansing routine.  It just did not feel right not to wash off the residues before bed.  That is when my Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser and Clarisonic face brush comes along - but I will review those another time ;)

I would definitely continue using Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.  It has already replaced the Bioderma. Not that the Bioderma was bad but the price tag and availability in UK is very off putting.   Each summer I would have to stock up the Bioderma during my visit to HK.  This was very inconvenient as water is heavy and also takes up precious luggage space :'( I also no  longer need to rely on my sister in HK for imports! Garnier does the same job, half the price too - It currently retails at £4.99 and comes in a generous 400ml!

Thank you for reading!

  3. I bought this last month, and I love it too! I wanted to get bioderma when I was in HK last year, but far too pricey for me! I haven't tried using this on waterproof mascara yet, so glad for the heads up in your review (:
