Benefit Go TropiCORAL Lip & Cheek Kit & Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel-Eyeliner Pen Review

HELLO GUYS!
Firstly, thank you so much for the support on the first day of my blog launch :) I love seeing new comments and the view count going up :)

The next products that I will be reviewing is the Benefit Go Tropi Coral Lip and Cheek kit and the Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock Gel Eye Liner (Darn, why such long names!! -_-)

I will review this Benefit lip and cheek kit first.  The packaging is sooooo pretty! I actually had this kit for some time now... just did not have the time to use it. I was given this set from a friend as my birthday present!

Set includes: ChaChaTint mango-tinted lip & cheek stain, High beam luminescent complexion enhancer, CORALista a “rio” Peasure face powder and Ultra Plush CORALista lip gloss.

I must say, those are interesting names O_O very exootic.... but not type-friendly!

It's a very interesting set as you can see and the composition inside is very cute. I like that it also include tips and instructions a long with illustrations!

Following the instructions I applied the Cha Cha tint first... with 3 strokes on each side of the cheek.  The tint is very orange so I was intrigued to see how it would turn out.  WARNING... rub immediately upon application... -_- I must have been too slow that the tint actually stained my cheeks T_T it would not blend no matter how much I rubbed.... See pic below (Left)

Do you see the little stain on the cheek? Eventually I took it off with make up remover and started again.  The right pic is the finished result of all the products (I only have face and lip make up on).

I used the chachatint on my lips... the outcome was a very subtle orange tint - not much more I can say.  Next was the High Beam highlighter, which I already adore and own a full sized bottle.  I applied it slightly above my cheeks and around my brow bone - a little makes a huge difference! I highly recommend this product.

The Coralista Blush is a lovely coral shade (hence the name). It's not too heavy and adds a lovely flush of colour to my complexion :) not bad! Lastly, the Coralista lipgloss... made to match the blusher (obv!). They go very well together and I really love the colour.  It's quite sheer and pigmented, not sure how long-lasting though - afterall it is only lipgloss - but hey ho, I think it looks good with my skin tone. I may need to invest in a lipstick with the same colour and shade.

Over all, I am quite satisfied with most of the products. Not quite fond of the cha cha tint as it does stain the skin pretty quick... I guess that's a good thing when I'm out and about? Just need to remember to blend it in quick! The set is very cute and it's really handy to be able to test the products before purchasing the full sized versions.  I may consider purchasing other Benefit kits.

Next is the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner.  My first gel eye liner pen.
I originally had by eye on the Benefit Criminally Easy 'They're Real' Push Up Gel Liner but I came across this version so I decided to give this a try since it was cheaper.

The packaging did not appeal to me, it's very scary looking in my opinion.  The seal makes the product looks  rather lethal >.<

To get gel out, you have to twist the end of the pen.  After several twists, the gel eventually builds up upon the tip of the pen... which is neither brush or felt... kind of like a flat rubber tube! Lol it's hard to describe but it's bendy and flexible so you can easily make angled strokes.

Result.

In terms of application, it is pretty easy to apply... kind of like a liquid eye liner pen... it does take some time to dry but not very long. The tip of the pen does get a bit clumpy when you twist for more gel, but that wasn't a big issue as I just swabbed it on my hand to get rid of the excess gel before application.

The pen can be used for  both big bold strokes or really thin delicate strokes. You would need a good steady hand like most eye liner pens but a good few practice should be ok :) I find gel eyeliner pens much easier to use than liquid, think it's time to retire my dollywink eye liner.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed my review.
